The day before Thanksgiving, take the kiddos to the Providence Rink for opening day! Weather permitting, the rink will be open November 27 from 4-10pm. Grab some ice skates, a winter jacket, hat, and gloves because it’s going to get chilly on that ice! If your kids are still a little clumsy on their feet, wait until Saturday for the “Learn to Skate” open house, a free intro session for the rink’s skating lessons! 2 Kennedy Plaza, Providence, RI. Celebrate the heritage of New England this week at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard! With Thanksgiving only days away, a trip to the museum will provide a fun outing for you and the kids. Be sure to check out the Native American Collection, which pays tribute to the people that first called New England home. This exhibit was developed with the help of the Nipmuck and Wampanoag tribal communities in Massachusetts, and provides an accurate and hands on depiction of how the native people lived their lives.
