The Newport Celtic Rock Festival, in its 16th year, has become an annual tradition in the “City by the Sea.” On a day with perfect weather, Saturday's festival was a summer highlight, right up there with the other, more well-known, Newport festivals. The Dropkick Murphys headlined, and four other bands rocked for over ten hours of live music under the tent at the Newport Yachting Center. With Irish food and drink, and a bit of Gaelic culture thrown into the mix, the festival was a hit on all fronts.
