NEW: NAACP Providence Branch to Host Selma Screening on Saturday

The NAACP Providence Branch along with the Rhode Island Coalition of 100 Black Woman will host a private showing of the movie "Selma" on Saturday morning, January 10 at 9 a.m. at the Providence Place Mall. 

Tickets are $8 per person but free for the first 100 youth, 18 years old or younger. 

Immediately after the showing, NAACP Providence branch President Jim Vincent will lead a discussion will be held  on the movie and current civil rights issues.

Along with Vincent, Charles Wilson, the President  of the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officials and Detective Sergeant Terrance Green of the providence Police Department will be available to answer questions regarding police and community relations.
