NEW: RI’s Farrelly Brothers Honored for Casting People with Disabilities

They will receive the award on Tuesday, March 3 during a ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.
Past recipients of the honor include Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, actress Marlee Matlin, former Democratic U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, and others.

The Farrelly brothers are best known for films such as Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin, Hall Pass, Me, Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal, Stuck on You, Osmosis Jones, There's Something About Mary, Fever Pitch, the 2007 remake of The Heartbreak Kid, The Three Stooges, and Dumb and Dumber To.
In 2019, Peter Farrelly won Oscars at the 2019 Academy Awards for the movie “Green Book.”

Established in 2011, the Ruderman Family Foundation aims to create more professional opportunities for disabled people.
The Foundation recently co-sponsored the 2020 Sundance Festival.
