NEW: RI’s Farrelly Brothers Honored for Casting People with Disabilities

Cumberland natives Bobby and Peter Farrelly will receive the sixth annual Morton E. Ruderman Award for Inclusion for People with Disabilities from the Ruderman Family Foundation.

They will receive the award on Tuesday, March 3 during a ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.

Past recipients of the honor include Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, actress Marlee Matlin, former Democratic U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, and others.

Ruderman Family Foundation

Established in 2011, the Ruderman Family Foundation aims to create more professional opportunities for disabled people.

The Foundation recently co-sponsored the 2020 Sundance Festival.
