Newport Polo opens its 21st season this year, adding China and Italy to the roster.
You know summer is coming when it's time to think about polo in Newport. And it's that time. The Newport International Polo Series XXI is pleased to announce its 2012 schedule of polo matches, including the international debut of China and Italy this season.  The 18-week Series will feature 8 international teams, 6 city teams and 4 regional teams competing against USA and Newport; the complete schedule is published online at www.newportinternationalpolo.com.

Box office open for business

The box office has officially opened for the season with great anticipation, hosted on the polo website for advanced purchases of individual and group polo match tickets, tailgate parking reservations, season passes, and special event tickets.  The online box office closes at 10am on the day of the match; admission for lawn seating or box seating is also sold at the entry gates which open at 1pm on Saturdays.

Opening day

Opening day for the Newport International Polo Series XXI will be on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 5pm featuring USA vs. Ghana.  The Polo Series will continue every Saturday afternoon in June through September at 5pm (4pm in September). This will be the 21st season of the Newport International Polo Series, which takes place at the polo grounds of Glen Farm, 715 East Main Road/Route 138, in Portsmouth.  The Polo Series has hosted teams from 25 nations across six continents, as well as teams from major US cities.  The polo grounds and venue offer hospitality and amenities including concessions and specialty vendors.
