newportFILM To Present Last Two Outdoor Screenings of the Summer
Mission BluenewportFILM will host their last two outdoor screenings of the season. The two documentaries are Emptying the Skies and Mission Blue.
Emptying the Skies
On August 28, newportFILM will screen Emptying the Skies at the Norman Bird Sanctuary, 583 3rd Beach Road, Middletown. There will be a post-film Q&A with producer & co-director Roger Kass. This event is a joint fundraiser to benefit newportFILM & Norman Bird Sanctuary.

Next week, on September 4, newportFILM will present Mission Blue at King Park, Wellington Avenue, Newport. Director Robert Nixon will be on hand for a Q&A following the screening.

This year marks the 38th anniversary of the seminal music documentary, HEARTWORN HIGHWAYS, a film that explored and captured the nascent roots of the Outlaw Country movement in the mid-70′s.
