Rhode Island saw its first snowfall on Friday, marking an unusually early start to the "winter season."

Michael DeGrandpre took the snap while he and his husband Rich Pezzillo were riding through Barrington on the East Bay bike path on Saturday.

"That is me sweeping through the winter/fall landscape," said Pezzillo, who posted the photo to Facebook. "We were frozen when we got back, but it was so worth it! Such a unique scenery with the green and white."
