In 2021, GoLocalProv broke the story that the sequel was being filmed in Rhode Island.
“Abracadabra! The first peek of Disney's HOCUS POCUS 2 is here!” said Steve Feinberg with the RI Film and TV Office. “And I've also heard from my secret sources that the movie is lots of fun and everyone loved the first test screening! The Sanderson Sisters are back!”
