Warwick Dancer Taylor to Compete in 49th World Irish Dance Championships

Warwick dancer Caroline Taylor from the Goulding School of Irish Dance will compete in the 49th World Irish Dance Championships in April.

The competition brings thousands of ranked dancers from all over the world to Greensboro, North Carolina.

Taylor qualified for the competition this past fall at the New England Regional Championships in Hartford, Connecticut.

About Taylor

Taylor is currently a sophomore at LaSalle Academy.

She is internationally ranked in the top percent of her age group.

Her choreography team is comprised of 16 members, including Rhode Islanders: Madeline Klipfel, of Providence, Madeline Mumford, of Scituate, Lauren Tetreault, of Cranston, and Emily Wright, of Smithfield.

She has been dancing since the age of five as a student at the Goulding School of Irish Dance in Cranston, established by Deirdre Goulding Blomberg, a champion Irish Dancer, teacher and adjudicator and former Riverdance cast member.

Taylor is an honors student at LaSalle.

When she is not dancing or studying, she enjoys training and fundraising the Pan Mass Challenge Teen bike ride, playing tennis and lacrosse for LaSalle, volunteering for Best Buddies and skiing with family and friends.
