YWCA RI to Host 7th Annual Women Holding Office Celebration

YWCA Rhode Island will host the seventh Annual Women Holding Office Celebration on Monday, May 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Kirkbrae Country Club located on 197 Old river Road in Lincoln. 

The event is open to the public and will feature the premiere of a documentary about how the conversation around Women's political leadership is changing in Rhode Island with a keynote address by Jessica Grounds, the co-founder of Running Start in Washington, D. C.

Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea will receive the Isabelle Ahearn O'Neil Award for her political accomplishments while Arlene Violet, Rhode Islands Attorney General from 1985-87 will serve as the emcee. 

Tickets to the celebration are $25 with a complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Seating is limited.
