15th Annual Rosary for Life to be Held at RI State House

Rhode Islanders will meet at the State House for the 15th annual Rosary for Life on Thursday, March 22 at 3 p.m.

"Abortion is a human rights violation because it denies a certain group of people their unalienable right to life. Every Tuesday and Friday Planned Parenthood in Providence kills fifty children up to five months old in the womb, and roughly 4,000 children are killed in the womb every year in Rhode Island. There are no words to accurately describe that barbarism and abuse of the human person. The members of the Rhode Island General Assembly can save these children's lives; we ask them to defend these children or we ask every Rhode Islander to elect only those officials who will defend them,” said Tyler Rowley, president of Servants of Christ for Life and one of the event organizers.

Several local pro-life advocates will give brief remarks about their personal stories and the culture's obligation to defend human life at all stages.

Priests from the Diocese of Providence will also lead the attendees in the Rosary. Some of the speakers for the event include:

Christina Frye: Founder of Catholic Mom Rhode Island and co-founder of The Salgi Esophageal Cancer Research Foundation. While pregnant, Christina was told her baby had an elevated risk of Down syndrome. Abortion was offered to her as an option by her doctors.

Sonia Morales: Runs a pro-life online community that was inspired when her daughter Angela was diagnosed in-utero with a condition that was said to be “incompatible with life.” Angela proved the doctors wrong. This community
