On Thursday, Raimondo announced she is holding off on any schools-related updates for another week.

Raimondo Releases Data

"I thought today I would give you an update on our modeling effort," said Raimondo. "For the past 6 weeks we’ve been hard at work gathering data. It’s not a perfect model. We’ve only been at this for a few weeks, really."

"The blue line is our best guess [and] assumes all of our current restrictions are in place and we’re going a pretty good job," said Raimondo.

"We think our peak will be around May 3 — we’ll need around 2,250 hospital beds," said Raimondo.

"The red line is what we think could happen if we don't take social distancing [more seriously] -- we'll need more than 4,300 hospital beds," she added. "I don't think we're going to be there."

Raimondo made the announcements at the Rhode Island State House on Thursday.
