The reason for removing the name is unknown. No one is talking—was it a cease and desist from Brown?

Or, did the mini-mart not want to be tied to the University’s slave-trading legacy?

Lifespan, Rhode Island’s largest hospital group a few months ago changed the system’s name to Brown Health, no word is they are dropping the Brown name.

Editor's Note: In an earlier version, Waterman was listed as Avenue. It is a street in Providence.
