Shortly before 9:30 AM Tuesday morning, police responded to a call for medical aid at Donigan Park on Valley Street in Providence.

According to police, the injured man — who is in his mid-50s — suffered a laceration to his head and was knocked unconscious.
Rescue transported the injured individual to Rhode Island Hospital where he is currently in critical condition.
