Club Where Brawl Broke Out in Providence Receives Minor Enforcement Action by Board of Licenses

This week, Mi Sueno, located on Broad Street, made national news, after GoLocal on Monday reported on the fight that took place over the weekend.
Video taken in the club showed bottles being broken — and people fighting on the floor and attempting to smash chairs over patrons’ heads to injure others in the establishment.

On Wednesday, the Board of Licenses ordered the establishment to cancel an upcoming car show this weekend, beef up security — and only serve beverages in plastic cups.
The club is going to be required to come before the Board of Licenses next week with a more detailed security plan.
“It’s a pause, and we’re going to continue to monitor this situation closely,” Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements told GoLocal.
Following the incident, Clements said it was “unacceptable” — and says he stands by his comments.
