On Tuesday, Mike Raia, the new PR hire for the Pawtucket soccer stadium, sent out a press release.

We don’t know what happened to the previous PR team.

Raia announced that owner Brett Johnson and unidentified financial partners have taken in 2,500 $24 dollar deposits for tickets.

It is a league record, says Raia.

Says a lot about the league -- the deposits total $60,000.

The project cost an estimated $120 million.

Here is what Raia won’t disclose.

He won’t disclose who the owners are.

After repeated requests from GoLocal, here is how Raia responded to questions about who the investors are.

“The team is not releasing the roster of investors at this time,” said Raia.

So much for a public-private partnership.
