Ghiorse: Tuesday AM Blizzard Juno Update
Central and Eastern New England and Eastern Long Island continue to bear the brunt of this storm and will continue to do so through the day. Heavy snow bands will persist in rotating across the area causing variable conditions and a wide range of accumulation totals. So far overnight, it appears that most spots have built up some 1-2 feet and another foot or more should fall in spots across the area today. The combination of blowing and drifting snow will make final accumulation measurement very difficult but suffice to say this is turning out to be a top ten storm for our area.
The storm center continues to move slowly north from a position just southeast of Nantucket thus the snow bands will gradually wind down later today and tonight. I can't rule out some rogue banding into early tomorrow morning.

Don't Go Anywhere!
Governor Raimondo has instituted a travel ban, and the Governors of Connecticut and Massachusetts have done the same. Exemptions exist for health care workers and certain essential employees, but don't risk going out if you don't have to - you could be arrested if you do.
