Jackson’s attorney in their objection filed late Friday afternoon states, "In fact, it should be apparent even to the untrained eye that the alterations at Line 5 & 6 have been done with a different pen than what the original signers used. That pen appears to be identical to the pen used to sign and print Ms. Kammerer’s name."
Artin Coloian, one of Jackson’s attorneys says, “Fraud is not for us to determine. Our assertion submitted [was signatures] were altered and invalid.”
When asked if this matter should be reviewed by the Rhode Island State Police, Coloian said, “I am sure they are watching this.”
Jackson’s filing with the Board of Election went on to state, “Neither Councilman Kevin Jackson nor his counsel have had sufficient time between receipt of the signed Declaration pages and the deadline set for specific objections to fully and thoroughly review all of the pages purported to be circulated by Ms. Kammerer. Based on the above-stated circumstances and our observations, many other alterations or amendments to the Declarations have occurred in an attempt to make them comply with the Code of Ordinances. Such unauthorized acts invalidate the Declarations Ms. Kammerer is purportedly responsible for circulating. Based on all of the above, all 9 pages that have been purported to be circulated by Ms. Kammerer must be excluded. All 77 signatures on said pages must be invalidated."
"Based on our filing we ask for a hearing on this matter. Witnesses need to be subpoenaed, the expert needs access to the original documents," said Coloian.
