Interfaith Memorial Vigil will be Held Locally for Charleston Shooting Victims

The Religious Coalition for a Violence-Free Rhode Island will be holding an interfaith Memorial Vigil for those killed in Charleston.

The memorial will be held Sunday, June 28 at 3 PM at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 175 Mathewson Street in Providence.

The service will include a memorial flower dedication, and participants are encouraged to bring a flower to dedicate.

At the Vigil there will be a prayer for the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church Community in Charleston, especially for the families of the pastor and congregants who were lost.

Charleston Shooting

During the shooting on June 17, perpetrated by Dylann Storm Roof, 10 people were shot: 9 on them fatally. Roof was arrested the morning after the shooting.
