Jamestown Woman Charged with First-Degree Child Molestation of a 14-Year-Old Boy

A Jamestown woman was charged with four counts of first-degree child molestation.
A Jamestown woman was charged with four counts of first-degree child molestation, announced Attorney General Peter Neronha’s office on Thursday.

Maria Asciolla, 57, was charged by a Statewide Grand Jury on November 6.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on November 21, 2019, in Newport County Superior Court.

The Investigation

According to the Attorney General’s office, it is alleged that Asciolla engaged in sexual acts with a male victim under the age of 14.

The alleged acts took place in Jamestown on various dates between November 24, 2016, and September 29, 2018.
