Langevin Applauds Passing of Supplemental Funding Package for Hurricane Harvey Relief

Congressman Jim Langevin is applauding the passage of the Supplemental Funding Package for Hurricane Harvey Relief.

The package includes $7.85 billion in funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration following Hurricane Harvey.

“The devastation to Houston and surrounding communities in Texas and Louisiana by Hurricane Harvey will affect families for years to come, and this funding package will ensure FEMA has the resources to begin the process of recovery during this difficult time. I’m pleased that Democrats and Republicans came together to support the immediate needs of the victims of Hurricane Harvey, especially as the southeast prepares for Hurricane Irma. This bill is only the first step in our national response to the unprecedented flooding caused by Harvey. But Americans are resilient, and with this much-needed support from Congress, we will work together to help the victims as they start to rebuild their lives.”
