Mueller Report - RI and National Reaction

Reaction across the country was swift and partisan. Locally, the Democratic members of Rhode Island Congressional delegation were quick to condemn President Donald Trump and some are continuing to advocate for continued investigation into special counsel Robert Mueller's report and findings.

The responses by many elected officials and analysts were in some cases raw with emotion. Rhode Island Congressman David Cicilline Tweeted, "The Special Counsel concluded @DonaldJTrumpJr is too dumb to have committed a crime. That is something."

Even the Washington Examiner slammed Trump and wrote in an editorial, "President Trump spent two years acting like a guilty man. Then exhaustive investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller didn't find evidence to support the collusion charges leveled against him in the press.

What was Trump thinking?

It’s theoretically possible, but also implausible, to argue as many liberal media figures have in the wake of Mueller’s report, that Trump really did collude with Russia and just successfully covered it up."
