Male Victim Pulled From Water Near Jamestown Bridge - UPDATED

Mike Healey with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) confirmed the following.
"The RI State Police have the lead on this case as they handled the vehicle left on the bridge and the ID of the victim. The Marine Task Force was notified and responded at 2:21 PM to the area of the Jamestown Bridge," said Healey. "A DEM patrol boat was first to locate the victim in the water about a half-mile north of the Plum Point Light House."
GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLAST"Environmental Police Officers with the assistance of the North Kingstown Fire Department task force boat were able to bring the victim on board the DEM vessel and transport him to Gardner’s Wharf in Wickford where he was transferred to a waiting rescue," Healey continued. "The victim is a middle-aged white male. No further info at this time."
On Monday night, Rhode Island State Police confirmed the victim had died.
"The individual was pronounced deceased at 4:40 PM," RISP Lt. Colonel Robert Creamer told GoLocal. "Based on the type of incident, we do not identify the party involved."
