On Friday, Rhode Island Department of Corrections spokesperson J.R. Ventura confirmed that Lamoso was being held awaiting trial - and that he had been at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI) numerous times before.

“His sentencing record goes back to 2018 but his first commitment here was in 2017, and has continued until now; mainly for numerous shoplifting and felony shoplifting charges, which makes the bulk of his sentences,” Ventura told GoLocal.

“His sentences ranged from 30 to 90 days to a year. He was recommitted to the Intake Service Center (ISC) [on Thursday],” he added.

In 2021, the Warwick Post reported that Lamoso was arrested at Warwick Walmart with nearly $2,000 in stolen goods — and cocaine.

Court records show he has has been arrested on felony breaking and entering charges.
