Two Men Stabbed in Providence Overnight - One Outside Bars on Empire Street, One in Domestic Dispute

Shortly after 11 PM Thursday night, police reported being in the area Muldowney’s Pub on Empire Street, when they were flagged down for a report of a stabbing.

The victim — a male in his 50s — said the suspect approached him outside of Black Sheep and stabbed him in the face.
The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for stitches.
Detectives are investigating.
Domestic Dispute
On Thursday morning at approximately 2:30 AM, police responded to Yale Avenue off of Atwells Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
According to police, the victim — a male in his 50s — has been concerned his girlfriend was high on drugs and begin videotaping her.
The man told police his girlfriend became irate, grabbed a knife and tried to stab his phone — stabbing him in the hand instead.
The victim was treated on the scene and told police he did not want to file paperwork at the time.
