Police responded shortly after 6 PM on Thursday to Peace Street off Elmwood Avenue for a report of a robbery.

According to police, they met with the victim -- a male in his 50s -- who had swelling to his head.

The victim told police he had arranged to meet up with the seller of the phone at a location on Peace Street.

He said after the seller arrived, when he went to inspect the phone, two other male suspects exited the seller's vehicle and began to assault him and knocked him to the ground.

The victim told police the suspects were able to take his bus card before fleeing.

Detectives are currently investigating.
