Police said they met with the victim — a male in his 30s — who said he had been sleeping by the old Luxe Burger restaurant when he was awoken by a man untying his boots.

According to the victim, the male suspect told him he was taking his boots, and that he had a knife.

The suspect reportedly fled with the boots toward Kennedy Plaza; the suspect went to the CVS to ask employees to call police.

Police said that a short while later they found the suspect matching the victim’s description.

He was in possession of the boots — and a knife, say police.

The boots were returned to the victim, and the suspect was arrested and taken to Central Station.
