Manager Assaulted at Waterfront Bar in Providence - Struck With Bottle

A bar manager was injured in an assault in Providence on Sunday night. 

The victim was reportedly struck with a bottle.

About Incident 

Shortly before 9 PM on Sunday, police were called to Tel-Aviv at 25 Bridge Street for a report of a disturbance. 

Police said they encountered the victim - a male in his 50s who is a manager at Tel Aviv — who was bleeding from his head. 

According to police, there was a trail of blood outside the establishment. 

The victim told police he was struck by a patron with a glass bottle. He was transported by rescue to Roger Williams Hospital for treatment. 

Police say witnesses held down who they allege was the suspect in the assault; police say the male suspect was heavily intoxicated and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. 

Detectives are currently investigating.
