Incident Details

According to police, they were called to Bedford Hall at Providence College shortly after 6 AM on Saturday.

Police said they met with a woman — who said a male on campus took her cell phone and was in possession of a gun.

The victim told police it was Breed — her ex-boyfriend — that had come to her home to pick up some of his items on Friday night; she told police she then gave him a ride back to campus.

Shortly before 5 AM on Saturday, Breed returned to her home without permission, the victim told police.

According to the police report, there was an unnamed guest in the apartment with the victim at the time.

The victim told police Breed pointed a gun at her and told her to hand over her phone, which he then stole.

Police Question Breed

Police say that when they met with Breed on campus early Saturday morning, that he told them the victim would be on campus and was an “unwanted guest.”

According to police, they searched Breed’s room on campus and did not locate a gun or the victim's cell phone.

Police said Breed refused to answer a number of officers’ questions.

Breed then admitted to police he had entered the victim’s residence and also had taken her vehicle.

Police arrested Breed and took him into custody.

According to police, when they searched the victim's apartment, they observed a broken flower vase; the victim told police she had been given the flowers by her guest -- and that Breed broke the vase "in a fit of rage."

He is currently being held without bail until April 7.

Breed's attorney, Bill Lynch, did not return to request for comment at time of publication.
