Hope High School Teacher and Former Coach Arrested on Domestic Assault Charges

David Nyblom - a three-time Rhode Island High School Boys Basketball Coach of the Year— was arrested on Thursday.
According to his biography, he first coached at Hope since 1989.

Prior to working in Providence, Nyblom was the varsity coach in North Kingstown in the 1980s.
He has also worked at the University of Rhode Island and at numerous camps and clinics.
He coached the Hope boy's basketball team for about three decades and, more recently, was an assistant coach for the girl's basketball team at St. Andrew's School in Barrington.
