NEW: RI Department of Corrections Suspends Prisoner Visits at ACI Due to Coronavirus Concerns

“We are reducing the flow of people coming into the facilities to ensure everyone’s safety as we continue to respond to the coronavirus,” said J.R. Ventura, Chief of Information & Public Relations Officer.
The suspension will be in place until at least Wednesday, March 18.

The current coronavirus issues are changing very quickly, and the Department needs to do everything within our control to prevent the transmission of the virus within our facilities.”
