The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) is warning Rhode Islanders about the possibility of strong thunderstorms in the state this afternoon.

On Tuesday morning, RIEMA posted the following: 

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across Rhode Island today between 3PM and 9PM.

Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, with the potential for localized flash flooding and power outages.
