NEW: Warwick PD K9 Garry to Compete on A&E’s Top Dog This Week

Warwick Police Department K9 Garry is going to compete on A&E’s Top Dog this week — and he and his partner Patrolman Aaron Steere are dedicating it to a special friend.

Steere, and K9 Garry, who just turned one, have been featured on LIVE PD, and will make their case on Top Dog this week Wednesday at 9 PM.

“My previous partner K9 Viking — Viking unfortunately had a surgery to remove a cancerous cyst on his leg. It’s a slow-healing wound but doctors are confident it will heal,” said Steere. 

“Garry’s a young energetic dog. I think he’s got tremendous potential,” said Steere. “We’re going to come out here and try to win this for Viking.”

According to A&E, “America’s Top Dog,” brings together top K9 cops and civilian dogs alongside their handlers as they compete nose-to-nose on the ultimate K9 obstacle course.

The series is hosted by Curt Menefee alongside expert trainer Nick White and sideline reporting by Jamie Little.

In each one-hour episode, four police K9 teams, including fan-favorites from the hit series."
