Dear community,
For the past six years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to be the voice and principal advocate for charter schools in our state and the thousands of students who attend them every day. It has been my honor to represent our interests and to advance our role within Rhode Island’s public education system.
Today, I am announcing that, later this month, I will be stepping down as executive director of the RI League Charter Schools. While I am stepping down from this position, I am not stepping away from our charter school’s movement. I am also announcing that I will be joining Times2 STEM Academy as its new executive director.
Our charter schools provide a valued public service to Rhode Island’s students and families. I am thankful for the opportunity to advocate for them, and the opportunities they deserve. Their dreams and their futures have always been in the forefront of my mind while serving in this role.
Thank you to the League and to our member school communities for the work that you do every day to improve educational opportunities for your students and families. I will continue to support our work and look forward to our continued collaboration in the future.
With gratitude,
Keith Oliveira,
Executive Director
