Operation Stand Down RI Officially Opens Newport Office

Operation Stand Down Rhode Island will officially open its Newport Veterans Service Center on 164 Broadway and will hold a reception on Wednesday, April 29 from 5-7 p.m.

At the Newport location, OSDRI staff of retired military personnel will be able to assist veterans who are homeless, or looking for work. The Newport location has a fully stocked food pantry and clothing shed available to veterans. 

The new office is part of OSDRI's effort to extend the organizations reach into the East Bay and Southeastern Massachusetts.

This location gives veterans on Aquidneck Island and nearby areas an accessible location to receive important services ranging from housing and rental assistance to employment and other human needs.
