About Incidents

Shortly before 11 PM Saturday night, Providence Police were called to Charlesfield Street on the East Side to meet with Brown University police for a report of students being shot by assailants with BB guns.

The victim — a male — told police was standing with friends at the corner of Thayer and Power Streets, when a black SUV pulled up and began shooting a BB gun at them.

According to police, the victim said he and his friends fled the area, only for the SUV to chase them and shoot them again with pellets before driving off.

Then, at approximately 11:30 PM, Providence Police responded to another report of Brown students being shot at, this time at the intersection of Prospect and Angell Street.

Two male victims said that they were standing the aforementioned intersection when a dark SUV pulled up and began firing a BB gun at them — again, with pellets.

No injuries were reported to police; detectives are currently investigating.
