Mayor Jorge Elorza gives his second inaugural address
Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza was sworn in for his second term in front of City Hall.

The ceremony took place just after 2 p.m.

“In the next four years, I pledge to not only engage around budgets, infrastructure, development, education, and all those things that mayors talk about, but to also use this awesome platform that is being Providence’s mayor, to engage in the meaningful work that it takes to be a kinder, more compassionate city,” said Elorza in his address.

“It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve the residents of Ward 15, and I look forward to the next four years of serving all residents of our great city,” said Matos.
