Police Release Information in Murder of 50-Year-Old Woman in Providence

Police have released more information related to the homicide of a 50-year old woman on Admiral Street in Providence on Friday. 

Officers responded to the corner of River Avenue Admiral Street at around 4 p.m., where police said they found a deceased female inside what used to be a restaurant.

According to police, the deceased is Mai Jweinat, 50, of Providence.

Her son Gregory Jweinat was also assaulted in the attack at 663 Admiral Street.

Man Charged, Suspected in Murder

Isaiah Araujo, aged 20, has been charged with breaking and entering felony assault.

Araujo is also a prime suspect in the murder.

Police are expected to release more information on Monday.
