Upon arrival, police said they then found fourteen spent shell casings scattered across the road in front of the address, as well as in the parking lot in front of 39 March Street.

According to police, there were both 9mm and 45 caliber cartridge cases on the ground.

A witness told police that a dark-colored SUV was seen in front of 39 March Street, when two people exited the vehicle and began shooting toward Chad Brown -- where there had been people sitting outside that then fled inside.

Police at the Providence housing authority said video camera footage also showed a newer model silver Honda Accord leave the scene before police arrived.

Detectives are currently investigating.
