Providence Police Officer Francisco Guerra has been charged with simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct by the Providence Police Department.

The charges follow an investigation into a June 8, 2019 incident that took place on Rosario Drive in Providence.

Guerra, 41, is a 12 year veteran of the Providence Police Department and was assigned to the Intelligence and Organized Crime Bureau.

According to police, he has been placed on administrative duty, with pay, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Jacqueline Wilson, 45 of Sterling, Connecticut, is also charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct as a result of the incident.
