Shortly before 10 AM, police were called to the area of Bank of America and Seven Stars Bakery on Hope Street for a report of an individual acting erratically.

When police arrived, the woman reportedly began to threaten officers and rescue was requested.
According to police, the woman bit an officer through his glove, puncturing his skin.
The officer was later treated at Roger Williams Hospital and released.
When the woman was transported in a rescue, she reportedly bit and kicked a Providence Fire Lieutenant.
The woman is being treated at this time.
