Providence Residents Among Those Killed in Connecticut Car Crash Over Weekend

Multiple Providence and East Providence residents were among a number of fatalities and injuries reported by the Connecticut State Police over the weekend. 

About Incident

On Monday, the Connecticut State Police reported a motor vehicle accident in the area of Quaddick Town Farm Road in Thompson at the intersection of Taylor Road.

According to the State Police, among those killed were Johan Santana, age 18, of Providence; Jaslin Perez, age 21, of Providence; and Lixandra Terrero Almonte, age 21, of Providence. 

Erika Perez, age 21, was listed as a fatality with no address; Reyniel Alfonso Lopez, age 21, of East Providence was listed at the time of crash with serious injuries. 

According to the Connecticut State Police, the vehicle in which the fatalities occurred was attempted to overtake another vehicle when it lost control and collided with a tree.
