Providence Schools Close, Parking Ban to Take Effect

Providence Mayor Angel Taveras announced today that a city parking ban will go into effect at midnight and last until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Cars that violate the ban will be ticketed and towed—that applies to cars parked in school parking lots overnight.

Tomorrow, all public schools will be closed and after-school activities are canceled as well.
