RI DOT Announces Series of Bridge, Road Closures Starting Monday

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation has announced a number of nightly closures on bridges across the state.

The closures begin on Monday.

Baker Pines Bridge, Richmond

Weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., we will continue to rebuild the bridge abutment walls inside the shoulders along Route 3 under I-95.

Carolina Bridges, Charlestown/Richmond

The continuous alternating one-way traffic pattern remains along Route 112 North and South, from Butter Lane to Carolina Mill Lane, as we work on the abutments and center pier at one of the bridges.

Nayatt Road Improvements, Barrington

Weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., we will have alternating lane closures along Nayatt Road East and West, from Washington Road to Rumstick Road, to install curb and concrete sidewalks primarily at the east end of the project at the intersection of Nayatt Road and Rumstick Road.

Oxford Street Bridge, Providence

Crews continue building the east wall with no lane closures weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pound Hill Road Bridge, North Smithfield

Right lane closure for guardrail work on Route 146 North, from the Woonsocket Hill Road Bridge to the Pound Hill Road Bridge, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Daytime drainage work and underdeck masonry repairs along Route 146 at the bridge continue behind barrier with no lane closures weekdays from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route 6/10 Interchange Reconstruction, Providence

Right lane closure for concrete retaining wall demolition and earth excavation on Route 10 South at Union Avenue, weekday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Victory Highway Bridge, West Greenwich

They will backfill the abutments behind barrier on Route 102 with no lane closures weekday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
