RIDOH Recommends Closure of Middletown's Third Beach

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is recommending the closure of Third Beach in Middletown for swimming due to high bacteria levels.

RIDOH had recommended the temporary closure of Third Beach in August 2018 for the same reason, as GoLocalProv reported.

According to RIDOH, they “will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout the summer season. The status of a beach may change on a daily basis.”
