Save the Bay announces 2018 Environmental Award Winners
Save the Bay has announced its environmental award winners for 2018.

Awardees are nominated and recognized for their dedication and efforts toward environmental stewardship. 

The winners will be honored during the organizations annual meeting on Thursday, June 14 at 5 p.m.

The Winners

The Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association won the Environmental Achievement Award for outstanding leadership and environmental protection of Narragansett Bay.

Cranston’s Barbara Rubine will receive the  Alison J. Walsh Award for Outstanding Environmental Advocacy.

The Mt. Hope High School Environmental Club will be recognized as Save The Bay’s Bay Students of the Year.

The Educator of the Year award will go to Neil Marcaccio, principal of Meadowbrook Elementary School in East Greenwich.

The Save The Bay Volunteer of the Year award will go to two volunteers: Stacy Coutu, of Providence, and David Boulanger, of Coventry.
