Rhode Island’s James Woods has returned Twitter after nearly ten-month hiatus — and on Friday, President Donald Trump gave Woods a “welcome back” to his favorite social media platform.

Conservative Hollywood actor Woods, who had been off of Twitter since April 2019, returned with a vengeance over the last 24 hours, starting with a Tweet directed at liberal United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez — and then reeling off nearly two dozen tweets -- good for one every hour -- heading into Friday night.

“Welcome back James!” Tweeted prolific Twitter-user Trump on Friday.

“Thank you, Mr. President,” Woods replied. “You (and America) are winning so much right now, I couldn’t miss out on all the fun!”

As GoLocal reported in May 2019:

Rhode Island’s James Woods -- the Hollywood star that’s appeared in more than 150 movies and television shows -- is now at the center of attention regarding social media bans.

President Donald Trump tweeted concern that Woods, a supporter of the President, has been banned from Twitter.

“President Donald Trump tweeted Friday that his administration is ‘looking into’ the banning of right-wing media personalities from prominent social media platforms — following a purge by Facebook of accounts belonging to several controversial political figures," wrote Politico on Friday.
