As of the May unemployment numbers, Rhode Island ranks #47 in the United States. With no major jobs initiatives in the state budget and a business ranking near the bottom of most indices, could the solution for Rhode Island may be found in another New England state? Or, not?

For more than three years, Rhode Island's unemployment has been 1 full percent above the national average - the federal definition of a "distressed state."
