West Warwick HS Track to be Dedicated to Fallen Marine Sgt. St Germain

The track at West Warwick High School will be dedicated to fallen Marine Sgt. Brain St. Germain on September 18 at 10 a.m. St. Germain graduated from West Warwick High School in 2001 where he was an all state hurdler in track and field. 

Since St. Germain passed away a decade ago, the Brian St. Germain Foundation has been working to raise money in order to renovate the existing track at the high school and have it dedicated to him. The track will be dedicated to St. Germian and there will also be an unveiling of a life-sized statue of him. 

“It is such a great tribute to my son’s life to see the community come together like this and make this dream a reality. It is a truly a way to remember Brian’s sacrifice as well as the vivacious and spirited person that he was,” said Lynn St. Germain-Lundh, Brian’s mother.

Brian was killed in Al-Anbar Province Iraq during a vehicle accident while he was serving his second tour during Operation Iraqi Freedom on April 2, 2006. 

He was 22 years old.
