An initial investigation found that Celado-Herrera had been in a canoe before it capsized. He was not wearing a flotation device and could not swim, according to witnesses.

The death does not appear suspicious, but remains under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s office and Bellingham Police.
